Beats of Rage! The Return -A 'Fresher's Fortnight' Special
It's been a while, but due to massive demand (i.e. at least 3 people have suggested it in the pub), BEATS of RAGE is back. Back in black.
Preston's original grimy electro & chunky house shakedown, Beats of Rage throws the rulebook out the window, which then hits you in the face knocking you clean off your bike. Sorry.
Get your glad-rags on and come out for a good old-fashioned rave-up, with some right-up-to-the-minute filthy dance music. Top of the bill for this return to form, is a one-man house-powerhouse from Bournemouth... Ladies and gents, take your clothes off, set them on fire, and put them back on again, for...

// HIJACK
The man behind Jack Union Records and some of the nicest sounds in dirty house music you're ever likely to hear. Since the last time Hijack visited Preston (which coincidentally was for a previous Beats of Rage freshers special), he's been churning out remixes and original productions which have developed his extremely recognisable sound as well as honing his DJ sets to the point where they represent a non-stop A to Z of the underground house scene.
Hijack's DJ sets are packed with unreleased tracks and re-edits and have a unique sound that has led to regular appearances at venues and festivals across Europe, the USA, Australia, and South Africa, for some of the world's biggest venues and club brands.
His music has been played and supported by the likes of Switch, the Crookers, Riva Starr, Kissy Sellout and Annie Mac, and is a regular feature on radio shows and dance floors the world over.
Hijack's own Jack Union label has featured productions from the likes of house heavyweights Switch, Trevor Loveys, and Lee Mortimer, and its original style of booming house music has attracted an army of followers.
In the coming months Hijack and Jack Union will be releasing more music than ever, with new original EPs, remixes and DJ mixes, and continuing to move crowds at clubs and festivals worldwide.
But for one night only, he's heading up the country to our humble city, and joining us at the party of the year... Beats of RAGE! Check out this minimix Hijack did for Kissy Sell Out's Radio 1 show...http://soundcloud.com/hijackhouse/hijack-kissysellout
And, if that whets your appetite, get your ears round this recent 1 hour mix...http://soundcloud.com/hijackhouse/hijack-mix-may-2010

Also on the bill, to keep this party hitting all the traditional Beats of Rage high points...
// THE FILTH WIZARD
From straight-up electro bangers to wobbly bassline house, disco-tinged distorted dance-music to dirty fidget-bass gems, there ain't no party like a Filth Wizard party, yeah? With a disregard for genre and "what's hot right now", The Filth Wizard's aim is dead simple... a dancefloor filled with sweaty ravers. Having played with Crookers & Sinden at Sankeys, at Glastonbury Festival with Autokratz and The Whip, and alongside a huge list of awesome DJ talent at every Beats of Rage, he knows how to achieve that aim.
// NATALIE ESQUIRE
Belle of the bassline ball, from Manchester super-clubnights Contort Yourself & Murkage, popping over to add the tropical-bassmusic icing to the cake.
// JANKEN
You've Ruined My Weekend founder + regular face (and the rest) on the Preston party scene, providing his first warm-up set... let's see if he can keep those bangers under control, we know how he loves a good banger!
last entry 1am!!
