Multi-instrumentalist, multi-talented Kate initially rose to fame in her teens, after her mother bought her a guitar to write on whilst nursing a broken foot. Runaway success ‘Caroline’s a Victim’ sold out its limited vinyl pressing and made her a Myspace star before she even had a record deal, whilst huge hit ‘Foundations’ stormed the charts a few months later. With her first two albums, 2007's number 1 Made of Bricks – released months ahead of schedule to meet with overwhelming demand – and 2010's My Best Friend Is You, she found both mainstream success and a legion of fans who snapped her up as a post-punk feminist icon. Heading out on a full-length tour this spring, expect a set packed with powerful material from the brand new Girl Talk album, alongside classics like 50s influenced ‘Doo-Wah-Doo’ and festival favourite ‘Foundations.
