18 year old singer song-writer from Preston Mike Dignam is to appear at 53 Degrees on Sat 12th September ’09. After making a name for himself in the area as a solo performer he’s now assembled a full band who will join him on the 53 Degrees stage along with a hand picked support line up.
Mike, who’s been gigging around the Preston scene either alone or as part of various bands since he was in high school, has spent the last 2 years working hard to perfect his craft and build a name for himself and it’s all starting to pay off.
His 2008 self recorded and released album ‘A World of Our Own’ has prompted major label interest and Mike and his band have found themselves gigging all over the place this summer, from sold out shows at home to festival appearances in Kendal and exclusive shows in the capital. August 15th sees the band take the stage at Preston’s huge Rock in the Park gig alongside the likes of JLS, Just Jack, Elliot Minor, Preston from the Ordinary Boys and of course Tinchy Stryder, who is also appearing at 53 Degrees in October.
If that isn’t enough Mike then has a 3 date tour of Switzerland to contend with. Never let it be said that this youth is afraid of hard work.
